Entertainment and Comedy.

An award winning location sound recordist, Andy Postle is a member of
AACTA and AES and is highly experienced, having worked in dozens of
countries across his varied career. Originally from the UK and previously
living in Switzerland and Austria, Andy now works out of his home base
in Sydney, Australia.

Andy is passionate about music and travel, and is regularly on the road
as a location sound recordist for many major production companies and
networks worldwide — working extensively with the BBC, ITN and Granada
Productions from the UK, and ABC, NBC, Sunday Night and Sixty Minutes
from Australia and America.

Experienced Across Every Genre

Andy’s Drama credits include the well-known Home and Away, All Saints
and Water Rats. Entertainment programmes include Oprah, Grand Designs,
Who Do You Think You Are?, Catalyst, MasterChef, The Voice, Australian
Idol, My Kitchen Rules and Better Homes & Gardens, as well as many
award winning documentaries such as Facing the Demons, Hell on High Water,
Tender, Ten Pound Poms and The Christ Files.

His film credits include Ship of Songs, First Daughter, Calling Gerry
Molloy, SOS, Fat Pizza and the Tropfest winning short Old Man.

Experienced in World Current Affairs storytelling with The Australian Army,
ABC Dateline, Compass, NBC & ABC America, ITN Factual, the BBC, 60 Minutes
and Sunday Night in Australia.

Qualifications & Clearances

Andy holds dual UK and Australian passports, a current USA iVisa and an
Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance — allowing access and
work behind the scenes at airports, government buildings and police
precincts. He holds full motorcycle and car licences, HUET (Helicopter
Underwater Escape Training) certification and a Working with Children
certification.

Previously holding the position of Secretary to the Australian Screen
Sound Guild for two consecutive years, his outgoing, easy personality
and wealth of experience has led him not only to a successful career in
the field, but also as a guest speaker at audio engineering colleges and
Western Sydney University.

Andy operates a full, recently updated broadcast sound equipment package,
including Sound Devices SD688, Sound Devices 833 and 633 systems,
Zaxcom wireless camera links, Lectrosonics UHF radio microphone systems,
Schoeps and Sennheiser 416 boom microphones, and full timecode and IFB
monitoring systems. A complete drama/feature kit and a lightweight
documentary kit are both available.
